RURITAN INVOLVEMENT   

Ruritan National

  • National President – 1932
    • During his term as President, it was his lot to steer a young and weak organization in the face of handicaps present during the lowest depths of the Great Depression. His slogan was, “You need a Ruritan Club in bad times more than in good times.”
  • National Vice President – 1931
  • Served on the National Board of Directors for several years.

  • Charter Member
  • President – 1929

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

  • President of the Nansemond county Chamber of Commerce
  • Past Master of the Chuckatuck Masonic Lodge
